Regarding Cannabis by Amanita Lloydii
I agree very much, although I will not look down on anyone for smoking ganja. I smoked it my whole life from a very early age (5 years) and then after death on my Harley I started growing. And I never thought I would quit smoking it. But at the same time I started growing, the transformation of awakening began. I found that meditation was difficult and annoying if I smoked before, but I still smoked throughout the rest of the day.
This freshly resurrected but busted up vehicle was incredibly lucky to have one of the founders of Hempfest show up and basically build, equip and stock me with the greatest legal medical growroom and plants i have ever seen or imagined. And a contact to give all my excess to a center for cancer patients to obtain it for relief from their suffering.
Then later, when my journey of awakening took a turn of a more straight up rocket ship and the ladies in the growroom started to be more about $$$ than karma yoga. I quit growing. And almost totally stopped smoking too.
I was finding that as a Raja yogi, meditation, the breath, bhakti yoga, Samadhi, enlightenment did far more for me and being unclouded for the extreme amount of knowing pouring into and out of my being was so much more beneficial.
And as Maharaji said to Ram Das after taking 30 hits of Timothy Leary acid at once and meditating through the whole thing, "it's good, meditation is better."
I still have not totally quit but I have gone months without and still only take a hit very infrequently
I still hold that as a medicine it is unparalleled and do Love this gift from Kailash with all my heart. The shamanic path would not have been the same without it shaping my freestyle creation of my reality and was every bit as important as liberty caps at 12 or 13 in opening the path before me and connecting me to nature, the Earth, flowing water, joyful music, the plants and the Divine.
So although I do agree, also as an Ayurveda practitioner, with Shambhavi Sarasvati, sometimes even Lord Shiva or one of his Raja yogic devotees can use a little Green Tara Dhakini compassion, Himalayan Indica stylie. Namaste!
