How to be cool:
A) Make the sunglasses face
B)
Here's the index. Today is Sunday, May 14th
First was an article about SWIM,, then i put up a rant i wrote elsewhere, and the third and final rant is below
Hey! Have you watched Big Mouth yet? Its on Netflix. You gotta watch it. It's hilarious. Here is the link again.
Wait, does he type with his tongue or his toes? Or both?? Oh I’m confused, but either way, thats an impressive typing speed, and if decently accurate is similar toe the speeds i achieve with three fingers while looking at the keyboard, although I haven’t done a test of typing in a very long time, but in the 80s when i did, it hit around 50, albeit a little loose on the spelling or miskeyed letters, that was before typing could be augmented by a dictionary that knows and corrects your misplaced keystrokes, its possible that considering the above that i do better these days but it could just be me romanticizing my own ability, which is highly probable… hahah.
Similarly I used to be quite fast on the virtual keyboard on my iPhone (this was prior to 2009) almost able to outpace my then 15 year old adopted daughter/niece who was at times frightenly quick, albeit using a combination l33t-speak and abbreviations like ORLY, LOL, IRL, AFK, STFU or you may be more familiar with RTFM and TLDR if you visit tech/nerd forums very much, by the way do you still read or have you /. (Or is it ./) (slashdot) or Fark? if not, i suspect you may like either or both, even though at last check they were a shell of what they were in their heyday. both were notorious, and brilliant as seen through my myopic vision, the forums in slashdot were off the charts sarcastically hilarious with a total nerd hacker slant that had me in constant stitches with the nerd level detail driven responses (and accurate) that were often hit with retort that was brutal and witty albeit mostly correct but snarky and dark. Man Fark was just brilliant with its one to two line off the wall links to real life events that similarly had me in constant stitches ROTFLMAO, both for many years.
That is until i packed up, gave my house to the bank and went to live my life out abroad in Central America, figuring i'd get caught with no money or return ticket (both illegal and subject to immediate arrest and transferral to jail where your rights are non existent and some of which if not most or all are run by gangs and so violent that the army or police won’t even go past the entrance gates) and i went there with no return ticket, despite my knowledge of the rules and even though I left with a few thousand, I still figured I'd die there. I think i found myself few times with no money, waiting for my next payment from my then very ex-wife who owed me a few grand. i think she withheld money to torture me, but mostly i made it almost a year or 8-9 months on a little more than $4k including plane tickets for 2 people, with me funding her passport also.
Frugal living is easy when you’re in the poorest countries (Nicaragua is the poorest in the Western Hemisphere behind Haiti and i think Guatemala is close to that mark) in the Western Hemisphere. I was buying us both a pack of smokes per day (they are only 16 smokes per pack down there, but they have a wider range of flavors, and omg i fell in love with the dual push button menthols with one menthol and a 2nd wintergreen pushbutton, mind you they were menthol to begin with, Marlboro Blue Ice brand) and i was buying me a fifth to half gallon of rum per day which, even the 75¢ per fifth brand of white rum, cacique style, was better than any in the usa.
Nicaragua is highly underrated, it's beautiful, it's safer than Houston, it's got the mosquito coast, wonderful ,active volcanoes were i travelled to look into a molten lava pit (and threw my wedding ring into). It's one of the few places on the planet where you can walk right up to the lava pit as a citizen and among the couple that's easily accessible to the public, plus it has erupted in recent history, Volcan Masaya between Granada and Leon. Both of which are beautiful cities and culture in their own right.
I even got a to be in a bona fide bull run where they tied money to the bull's forehead, poke it with a sharp dagger and let it run in the streets with desperate locals really trying to grab the loot and mind you this guy is angry and scared and the streets have no place to hide and the crowds are tightly packed. That bull is motherF frightening and while i didn’t go for the cash, i did get in the streets and experience the sheer terror as it bulldozes it's way through the elbow to armpit crowd in the streets of Granada. One of or if not the only place that still does it like that, especially considering they actually prod and stab the bull with a sharp sword, which is considered cruel and outlawed, i think,in the rest of the world but beloved there)
Along with the amazing mosquito coast, there's desert, brilliantly beautiful old Spanish style architecture, and everything is dirt cheap. i mean $100 a month rent wasn’t too hard to find even for a gringo as they would call me (which i heard came from the war with the soon to be Texas where the american solders would wear green and they would be told “Green Go” as in get out of my land, i haven’t verified it cuz i found it charming and don’t want it to be false), i mean brilliant beautiful beaches on the pacific ocean that rivaled anything Mexico had to offer yet deserted and tons cheaper with rent being $10 a night ON the frickinn’ beach, Mexico being ten to one dollar exchange rate and Nicaragua 37 to one).
And tahts just Nicaragua, the home of the hammock. Guatemala was just as cool, especially considering all of the Mayan Features and places. I stayed in Panajachel when i was there. That's asmall mountain town where the low temperature is 78 and at 75 they're wearing fur lined parkas, no shit i saw it and at 84 theyre all complaining loudly thaht it's too hot, Which, it was normally and almost consistently 78-82. ITs amountain lake surrounded by 4 active volcanoes that you can seee from the beach and in town. Man the vegetables there are dirt cheap. The place we, or i mean I, rented was expensive at $226 a month, but the cheap food made up for the expense. I think my tab was almost $400 a month including two packs of smokes per day, one for each of us, ad me getting a half gallon of rum almost every other day.
oh but i digress and ramble on, i forgot where i came from let alone where i was going with this obtusely sidetracked long-winded soliloquy.
Briefly:
I put up a bunch animal art. damned right hand most snowy owl came in third, blam, the people like birds, no, scratch that they like owls. I thought the copper mouth dragon was brilliant but nope, not popular. I cranked out a bunch of owls. eagle? naw. owl, certainly. i don't get it i thought eagle for sure, lol, shows what i know. i need the linkes to get followers so its easier to get the likes, and the faster the likes come the higher it gets faster and with enough things like that happen you get to 200, 500, or above, and when people look at your stuff they sort bight votes and click on the higher ones and i think ignore everything past the latest and the best. we shall see. I removed everything past a few days old and low votes so it looks likw a higher percentage of mine are getting votes, its that first impression. i saw a guy wit everything over 400 and he only had a few, aha my brain clicked
