Here's the NEW index to 404. Today is Sunday, the 25th, 1:30am but I should be finishing this tonight or the next day. My original goal was to get "Rocks" out by the end of the month, but now it looks like it'll be the first one of July. Especially as how I put up three the other day, four actually if you include the Hot Springs of Idaho Continuation. I've got one on Central America, one on Backpacking, and One on Belize, that I apparently wrote about my wedding for a blog that I had. Forking crazy. If I get around to it, I'll put up some of the anti-global warming posts that I had in a sort of collage. My stance has been and will continue to believe is that of course the globe is warming, thats what its done after every single ice age, it warms until it gets too hot then it cools until it gets too cold, then it warms up again. Duh. Plus, the cycles more closely match the solar output (nothing else contributes as much to how warm or cold the planet is than the sun, it's just common sense. Go stand in the sun, then over to the shade, you can even feel it here on terra firma.) of the sun than the levels of co2. The levels of co2 change in concert with the solar output but a little behind. My major in college was Environmental Science… I know some stuff about Global Warming. (Pssst, its about money) Even though the mainstream media still clings to it and likes to throw around the buzzword, it was debunked a while back. Many times over. Anyway, I'll proceed to the Hot Springs Saga's conclusion after the joke (In case you were wondering, here's WA1, WA2, OR, ID1, ID2, & This one)
“A Man’s Guide to Love and Lasting Relationships. 1. Find a woman who will make you laugh. 2. Find a woman who has a job and and likes housework 3. Find a woman who is honest. 4. Find a woman who will wait on you hand and foot 5. Find a woman who is awesome in the bedroom. 6. Most of all. It is very important that these five women never meet.”
There's really not too much else to say. Bowry and Boiling Springs, I don't recall. Barney I do, but I didn't get it It was way in the fuck up near Stanley or way past by 70 miles or something, and It was a spot in a pond where the hot water came up but the hot water was only able to keep an area warm and you had to tread water to use it. Fuck that. I sink. Then on the next page, we've got KIrkham, Ten MIle, Firecrew, Hoodoo and Elkhorn. I assume Elkhorn is one of the dozen or more that we visited in a couple days going along the river. Hoodoo looks familiar like it may be the one that was kinda in somebody's 5 acre back yard. Ten MIle it seems like I should know that one but nothing comes to mind. Firecrew, gosh that one rings a bell too, but i know nothing. On to the next page, we've got Sacajawea, Molly's Springs, Molly's Tubs, and Sunbeam. Now, I recall the Molly's pair because Molly's Springs was kinda shitty, muddy water, not that hot, but I insisted upon stripping down and getting in just so one of us soaked, plus it was right where the highway people could see, so I Liked that. Molly's Tubs were pretty cool. There were about a handful of seeps that people had crammed tubes into and directed the water to bathtubs that they had placed there along the river. I loved it. We each had our own tub and it was great. Then on page four, we have two that I already spoke about and two that I havent talked about because a I don't remember them. Those are Penny's Hot Spring and Pineflats Hot Spring. Then all there really is left that I Haven't spoken about is Vulcan Hot Spring.
Vulcan Hot Spring was a nice one. It had the most volume or highest flow out of all the hot springs we visited. I think it was the hottest too, at damn near boiling. There was a little ways closer to the source than the soaking pool where people would go to boil eggs, justa little hole in the rock but it was more like a tube and they wouldput the egg in a meshlike panyhose but non-melting, and set it in the water for a short amount of time. A pre boiled egg would have been easier to hike with but considering it was mostly a two mile saunter, similar to Bagby or Olympic, it wasn't that bad. Oh yea, a nice stroll in, along a single track trail. YOU get to a junction at one point, with a sign pointing left to Vulcan and the sign to the right pointing to another trail, lol, and someone had scribbled above vulcan, skinny dipping. Appropriate. Anyway the river of hot water at the source was so hot that you had to go down a hundred or so yards before the temperature could be tolerated. And all they did was down a tree and drape a super large tarp over it and in front of it so that the water pressure kept it down and sealed and that created a deep enough area to soak. It was getting even hotter too. I know this because on the second time we visited, the spring was almost twice as far downstream as it had been the year prior! As you can see from the photo, it was fairly large, maybe 25ft across. And you can sort of see the structure, with a beaver dam sort of log jam behind the pool. The people in the photo, they were from Germany. We got to talking to them for quite a while, as I remember it. We were leaning up against the l log jam using it as a table for our bong as such when they rolled in. (They declined beers or bonghits) But we had to leave before them, and I asked if it was okay if I include them in the photo, since I hadn't taken one and wanted one for my collection. They said "okay" and I snapped the shot. Years later when I was building the J&M website, no it was the JMP site, and needed some examples for the photoshopping page & I chose to photoshop them out of the photo (as you can see here) as an example to what can be done with photoshop, as an incentive for people to purchase the service.
And with that, it's a wrap. I mentioned a long time ago about going to do a spa at either the developed hot spring on the peninsula or down by Wind River. I was serious. I'm not into pedicures, but hot tubs and backrubs, oh yea. I'm just saying...
Back from the dead: I got most of the inks work out of the JM Publishing site, and just about all of them worked out of the TopShelf Herb Company site. I had hard coded in a lot of the URLs, and so i had to change those to be relative and the html declaration had to be updated, with over 50 pages on each, it was a lot of work, easy to do, easy to make mistakes. lol but Some of the things I said, oh yea, funny.
Just some stuff: Here is my collection of ringtones in case you wanted a goofy one or two. CLICK HERE
Pseudo-art. I've been actually try to take things a little slower with the art. Revising and bringing out the finer details a little more. I guess in order to see that you'd actually have to see the versioning that goes on. But anyway, since I can't do that, the final versions are here. I like the way the eye came out, but as with all of these I was the only one that saw much interest in them. I thought the third one was pretty bitchin too, man if I could paint something like that, I was gonna say well I would sell alot but I dont know art that well and from what I can see its a tight race to be in. But the owl, i was fascinated by them for a while and really I still am to a lesser degree. It all started when I saw a documentary on them. They're cool creatures. That one is a Northern Pygmy Owl.
Music, I love. Oh man. I've been waiting for this song to come up. I was just all about Jenna Marbles for a while. At the moment I cought on, she was making more money online that Oprah was making money online. An online to online comparison. Her videos were hilarious. This is the only song she did but it shows her style a little bit. Just acting like a dumb girl from the midwest I think. But some of the topics she broached were just hilarious. Lie here's how a girl thinks and here's how a biy thinks, and they were spot on but also over the top as far as how she portrayed the stereotypes. This song is a spoof of all the misogynistic rap videos out there, as if a girl was doing one. It's hilarious. She's got 19.7 million subscribers to her youtube channel. Fucking crazy. I've never seen that many. Looks like she quit in 2020. It was 2010 or so when I heard about her. Crazy. Any way then I've got Bubbles. Bubbles and the Shit Rockers. Probably one of the most underrated of all the Trailer park Boys characters. He kinda levels the two out though. I think. I saw them live on stage in Seattle one time. Fucking Hilarious. I liked the song so much I even made a ringtone out of it
