I only really know one place to score big with lobsters. And I'm going to share it with you. Most sites will tend to want to keep this information from you, but information wants to be free, and my goal is to educate and provide information. First off, lobsters seem to hit late in the summer. I'll post the gps coordinates and the times and dates of a couple scores but it seems like every year or every other there's a good harvest of them. And they'll produce a few times, sometimes in July sometimes in August. Take the exit 102 off of I-5 towards Aberdeen, at the cutoff to go to Shelton, stay to the left and go towards Aberdeen and Elma and Summit Lake. When you get up to the top, right across from the Rock Candy Mountain trailhead, on the north side of the highway, like you're going to Summit lake, is an unofficial rest area right there at the corner of the road and highway. As soon as you exit onto the road from the highway, the dirt area is right there at the corner on the right. Pull in there and park on the east side of the area. Now, there's kinda two spots. The first one is looking at you there on the east side of the area and the other is on the north side of the parking area. The east side has usually been more productive for me, but the north side has had its moments as well. And don't be surprised if you get there and you see holes and lobster fragments, someone like me got there before you. Trust me, that happens a lot. On the road to the summit of Rock Candy Mountain, on the second to last intersection before the gravel pit on top, I have also found a few.
